Street Style Recap: Wednesday, 25th 2009:

I saw these girls outside the Bryant Park fashion week tents with a stylist in tow. I figured it was some horrible marketing ploy -- like the Maybelline bitches. They had some genius plan to commandeer the taxis coming up 6th Avenue and hold them only for selected women coming out of the tents. Gee, thanks! Anyway, either a marketing thing or a young designer hiring models to trot around Bryant Park hoping to get some attention, but they were wearing stuff from URBAN OUTFITTERS and shoes from NINE WEST, so I dunno.

Other photos include a woman in Paris wearing really cool diagonal striped tights with a sparkly top, Marie in Jakarta wearing a ZARA t-shirt with a major grammatical error (not that I'm one to talk...), with cropped Y-3 pants. Next is Sarah Rutson from Lane Crawford. I'm not sure the labels she's wearing, but I love her gold snakeskin leggings. Kang Jeong is in Seoul with a black VINTAGE hole'y cardigan with red UNIQLO jeans, and Peter is in NYC outside the Bryant Park tents with a VINTAGE jacket with PAUL SMITH vest, J BRAND jeans, metallic gold CONVERSE sneakers, and carrying a GOYARD bag.

Street Style Recap: Monday, February 23rd 2009:

I guess this girl was a contestant on Project Runway: Korea. She was shot at Daily Projects -- one of Seoul's top independent boutiques -- by Yourboyhood. I love her Vintage cardigan with giant flower things on it, and her leggings from Japan.

Hayley shot a guy in Tokyo also wearing a VINTAGE cardigan with black acid-washed jeans. Next is a woman in front of the Eiffel Tower wearing a bit of ETRO -- a black & white fur coat and a black & red dress -- with GUCCI heels. In NYC is a Swedish girl in a SKYWARD coat and purple sneakers, and JJ Martin in Paris in a paisley dress, and last is a woman at the Bryant Park tents in an ELISE OVERLAND coat.

Street Style Recap: Friday, February 20th 2009:

I should be in London for Fashion Week, but instead I'm in Chicago getting a root canal. Just took a painkiller so sorry if I make a few typos or whatever. So here's a photo from outside the TELFAR Fall/Winter '09 show -- a woman in a grey fur coat thing with a black LANVIN jacket, baggy YSL pants, and a green headwrap turban? I love it.

Next is a Tokyo party boy in crazy neon colors. Wish I knew who made that top. In front of a NYC bus is a woman at Bryant Park in a VINTAGE patchwork fur coat with an elastic belt t-shirt and slashed jeans. Vika is in Paris in a trench coat and VINTAGE floral print shirt, and Yoon Seung Kue has a camouflage HENRIK VIBSKOV jacket with APC jeans, FRED PERRY shirt and DIOR HOMME accessories. Last is Lauren Santo Domingo with a black BALENCIAGA leather jacket, blue TIM HAMILTON shirt, PROENZA SCHOULER skirt, and MIU MIU heels.

Street Style Recap: Thursday, February 19th 2009:

All quiet on the homefront now that NY Fashion Week is over, and houseguests Susie Bubble and Jak & Jil are across the pond for London Fashion Week. I'm skipping it this season since I'm getting a root canal on Tuesday. Anyway, here's Norwegian model/blogger Hanneli at Bryant Park in a VINTAGE jacket with rolled-up JOHN GALLIANO pants, black ACNE boots, and a black CHLOE bag.

Next is Tze-Chian in San Francisco with a grey cardigan, black jacket from Taiwan, CHEAP MONDAY jeans, and bag and shoes from Japanese label, HARE. Carol is at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in a black TELFAR jacket with a top from FORM and black DIESEL jeans. In Paris is a woman in a black and white THIERRY MUGLER dress with knee-high ETRO boots and a black CHANEL bag, and Christian with a COSTUME NATIONAL jacket and rolled-up RALPH LAUREN pants. Yang Seung Ho is in Seoul with a grey PATRIK ERVELL suit and white CONVERSE shoes.

Street Style Recap: Wednesday, February 18th 2009:

Today's the last day of NY Fashion Week. I can't believe how exhausted I am considering I hardly went out to parties this season. Getting older, I guess. Anyhow, here's Yu Masui -- a Japanese stylist living in London who was just featured in the NY Times Moment Blog, along with Street Peeper fave, Jean-Paul Paula. Yu looks not so thrilled about getting his photo taken though.

Next is Tommy Ton of Jak & Jil fame in a grey TOPMAN jacket with a COMME DES GARCONS PLAY cardigan, PIERRE HARDY sneakers, and the RAF SIMONS x EASTPAK backpack. Julia is behind the Bryant Park tents in a red RALPH LAUREN coat with a BURBERRY bag and giant sunglasses and Nina is in front with a VINTAGE monkey fur coat, black CHEAP MONDAY jeans, and a ZARA bag. Kim Hyu Jung is in Seoul with a blue MARC BY MARC JACOBS top with grey pants from DAR:L and a black JILL STUART bag.

Street Style Recap: Monday, February 16th 2009:

Still in the midst of fashion week madness. Susie Bubble of Style Bubble and Dazed Digital fame is crashing at my apartment, and here she is in a STEVE J AND YONI P puffy sleeve jacket, pink knit COMME DES GARCONS TAO shorts, and a black fringe TIM RYAN scarf. It's snowing now though, so maybe I'll try to update the site a bit more.

Here's a photo from Paris of Carine Roitfeld in a GIVENCHY coat and a MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA boot with nail heel, then another lady in Paris with YSL shoes and bag. Next is someone in Tokyo in a sparkly purple suit and a gigantic headpiece. I think a tranny, but one can never be too certain these days... In Seoul, there's Kim Tae Wook in COMME DES GARCONS jacket and rolled-up pants, HELMUT LANG shirt, white COMMON PROJECTS shoes, and a MUJI bag. Last is Sidney in San Francisco wearing a black JULIUS leather jacket with DIOR HOMME jeans and FIORENTINI & BAKER boots.

Street Style Recap: Friday, February 13th 2009:

Still in the middle of fashion week, so updates will be a bit sporadic... So here's Dark on Prince Street in NYC looking so very "superfuture" in his black LAD MUSICIAN leather jacket, NUMBER (N)INE cardigan and corduroys, RICK OWENS boots, and CHRONICLES OF NEVER necklace.

After Dark is a woman in Paris in a BALMAIN jacket with a zip-pocket red jeans with a snakeskin LOEWE bag. Then a woman in NYC with the AS FOUR kidney bags and a girl at the CATHERINE MALANDRINO party with mostly VINTAGE. After her is a woman in Paris with a vintage YSL belted jumpsuit, black BALENCIAGA jacket, and PIERRE HARDY heels.

Updates might be a bit slow this week since during NY Fashion Week, but I'll do my best... So here's Yuji in Tokyo in the cherub JEREMY SCOTT print KSUBI jeans with a black furry BANAL CHIC BAZAAR hoodie. He's also got a black backpack, red belt, and metallic gold velcro SPX high-top sneakers.

Natasha Poly is in Paris in an extra-long green cardigan with a snakeskin GUCCI clutch and GIVENCHY COUTURE boots. Also in Paris is a woman in a nice ZERO + MARIA CORNEJO belted coat. Hailey is in NYC with a red plaid APC poncho coat and black KSUBI jeans, and Angela has a black VINTAGE leather jacket, DIESEL necklaces, and FRYE boots. Hak Jun Kim is in Seoul also with a VINTAGE leather jacket, KOREAN ARMY pants, and DR MARTENS.

Street Style Recap: Tuesday, February 10th 2009:

OK, so I think most of the Internet Explorer bugs are fixed. Here's fashion designer Mandy Coon at the Tribeca Grand in New York City. She's wearing a great black sparkly coat from FA-CE-LA (her own label), and a dress by BERNHARD WILLHELM, and you can see her doggie Petunia peeking her head into the shot.

The first thumbnail is a woman in Paris in a DEREK LAM trench coat. I can't tell if the fur sleeve things are a part of the coat or something separate. She's also got on tight black BALENCIAGA leather trousers with heels from AZZEDINE ALAIA. Next is Jin Lee in Seoul with an adorable bowl haircut and red cut-out scarf, striped sweater dress and white DR MARTENS. In NYC are Chioma from The Fader and Bunny. Chioma is wearing a VINTAGE blue jacket and a funny red MINIMARKET hat, and shoes & shirt from COMME DES GARCONS for H&M, while Bunny is in mostly VINTAGE but with rolled-up and tore-up SASS & BIDE jeans. Last is Paris Vogue's Emmanuelle Alt in an ISABEL MARANT jacket with fringe boots.

Street Style Recap: Monday, February 9th 2009:

I had a hard time choosing which was my favorite of the day. I love Anna Della Russo, and the bejeweled Sonia Rykiel top on that other Parisian lady, but I think this photo above is my favorite. She just looks so cool, I think anyway. She's got on a blue RAG & BONE marching band'ish jacket with the ever-popular drop-crotch pants from Danish designer, MALENE BIRGER, and black pointy shoes from B-STORE London -- accessorizing with gigantic GUCCI sunglasses.

Anna Della Russo is also in giant sunglasses and is wearing a cut-out MIU MIU dress with YSL boots and a big square BULGARI necklace. Shizuka is in Tokyo has on pretty cool denim bloomers from NE-NET with a floral print top and MERCIBEAUCOUP shoes. Next is a woman in Paris wearing the coveted SONIA RYKIEL bejeweled top with black cropped 3.1 PHILLIP LIM pants and a MARTIN MARGIELA bag. Love her polka dot socks too. Gi Hoon Lee is in Seoul in an extra-long striped BUFFALO cardigan and white CONVERSE shoes. Last is Alexander in NYC wearing a bit of the now-defunct CLOAK with DIOR HOMME shoes.
