I dont think the Japanese are the only ones that can pull it off..The Japanese are just usually much better at coordinating items that are out of the norm honestly. Thats why they can come to America and buy a thrift store item that people consider crap for a buck and sell it in Tokyo for around 50-70 dollars depending on the item. Its not because everything in Japan is expensive, its because they concept, coordination, and artistic skil tied into the entire look of one piece is important in Japanese street fashion culture.
