good fashion has an interplay betw texture shape and pattern and from head to toe i think this has it. it's not hipster, if anything it's playing with 80s new wave, and i think it's super great. love this blog!
some really stupid comments on here. surely phil can post whatever he damn well pleases. the site's a free resource, and one of the better street style sites. you should be grateful. if you don't like it don't like it, go elsewhere.
i'm personally in awe of how many cities phil seems to cram in each year.
this is so melbourne ! it's what i miss most about melbourne . so individualistic and daring .
Unique, eye-turning: Yes.
Attractive, inspiring: No.
Fashionable, No way.
Anyone can dress "different". It takes more than this to make it good looking.
AMAZING
Mia stands out and is totally beyond the sea of hipsters wearing fashion and not OWNING it like she is here. The reason why she features here so much is a testament to her good looks, confidence and penchant for having great foresight into what is
fashionable. If I ran into mia I'd want to take her photo too.
Oh look- it's Freddy Krueger, Michael Jackson, and the cliche half shaved head, all rolled in one.
honestly, dose mia ever look bad? dose she ever have one of those days i seem to have allways and say, you know what, fuck it, i just dont have the time to create yet another flawless outfit today. i meen jeez, she can do no wrong. NONE!

F-ING AMAZING! Luv it!

that's the biggest comb over if ever I've seen one!
I love it. Very Melbourne. I think this site isn't a hipster paradise at all. It captures street fashion people..Its about individuality, and sure, certain cities might express more of a look than others. Culture is being created with this web site, its not copying the hipster crowd.
Love the MC Hammer inspired pants and the prisoner style stripes - that waist is tiny!

wow, you guys are so original with the people you choose to photograph...why don't you just call it streetfriends.com when clearly you have no interest in fashion beyond the hipster bubble.
errr, what?
sorry Phil, I just mean I see lovely looking people around Melbourne dressed in a variety of fashions yet I never see that on here...just seems to be the same style of people.
Ah, can't please all the people all the time, it seems... But the thing about having a blog is that I get to post pictures of what I like, and this is what I like! In my 'defense' though, I only get to Melbourne a few days a year and its hard to not just sit around drinking coffees all day, and go get lots of pictures... Surely you can sympathize with that.
Also, WTF, how could I not post this photo?
I'm sorry I came off a bit evasive. It's great that blogs and forums can open up discussion....however some people abuse it and just use it as I means to vent. I do apologise.
and yes, I like the pants!
So. damn. fierce.
