After catching the 5am high-speed train from Copenhagen/Malmo to Stockholm, I stumbled, hungover, into the Nordic Light Hotel. The hotel is only a block from both Stockholm Central Station and the Arlanda Airport Express. They mercifully had a room available for early check-in, and I passed out until the early afternoon. But they do have these kooky disco-light rooms, which I suppose is what they′re famous for. There are these little knobs in the "mood rooms" that control the color, intensity, and speed at which the colors change. The brochure calls it light therapy, which seemed a bit dramatic, but it was a fun gimmick anyway. Oh, and Temple Spa products in the bathroom.
So yeah, nice hotel, nice staff, pretty colors, Bilar gummy cars in the minibar, hot Swedes hanging out in the lounge, and I′m sure the breakfast buffet is delicious but I never woke up in time for it. Apparently I had also missed an exhibition of young Swedish fashion designers that took place the night before I arrived.
